WHAT IS SHELFLOVE CRATE?
Shelflove Crate is a monthly books subscription box geared towards YA Fantasy and Sci-Fi. Each box will include a new Fantasy and Sci-Fi YA novel released within 60 days of the mailing date, 4-6 theme-based items, and other goodies from the author and the Shelfove team.
HOW DOES SHELFLOVE CRATE WORK?
We offer 3 different subscription plans:
We also offer a single purchase option for our monthly box - this is a one time purchase and will not automatically renew. It does not guarantee a spot for the next month.
IF I’M SUBSCRIBED, CAN I SKIP A MONTH? Yes! You can do so accessing your account under the “Your Subscription” tab. If you choose to skip a month, you will not receive a box for that given month, and your subscription will not renew on the 1st of that month. If you have a 3 or 6 prepaid subscriptions, please contact email@example.com for assistance when skipping boxes. You must contact us before the 1st of the month.
*We cannot skip boxes for first time buyers, and single purchases.
WHEN CAN I SUBSCRIBE?
Whenever we open sales we will announce it through our newsletter and social media (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook). We recommend buying sooner rather than later. Once our boxes go out of stock, we won’t be able to add more. You will have to wait until after renewals for an opportunity of purchasing one.
WHAT IS A SHELFLOVE CRATE “THEME?”
Our monthly boxes are curated with a “Theme” in mind. Each theme is chosen based on the book of the month.
WHAT AGES IS SHELFLOVE CRATE FOR?
Shelflove Reads book choices can be enjoyed by readers 14 and up years old.
WHAT KIND OF BOOKS WILL YOU INCLUDE?
Shelflove Crate only includes Fantasy/Sci-Fi titles. If you are looking for General Fiction YA subscription box, please check out our sister subscription box, Shelflove Reads.
WHAT IF I ALREADY OWN THE BOOK AND/OR ITEMS?
We limit our book choices to titles released up to 2 months prior to our ship date. Unfortunately, If you happen to already have our book of the month, we cannot offer refunds at this time.
CAN I BUY ITEMS SEPARATELY? .. No. Most items are made exclusive to the box, specific to that month’s subscriber total, and are not sold anywhere else. In the extraordinary case that we sell items separately, we will announce it through social media. Please check Instagram and Facebook for updates.
WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A SHELFLOVE BOX? The prices of our boxes variate depending on your chosen plan. Here is the break down.
The price for a single box is $29.99 (+shipping). At the moment, no discounts are applied to single purchases.
The shipping cost depends on the country you are ordering your Shelflove Reads from. Prices may be adjusted to allow for increased shipping rates as dictated by the USPS. All of our prices are in US Dollars (USD). Please make sure you check how much that is in your own currency. If you live outside of the US, your bank will automatically convert the charge into your local currency. Exchange rates will apply. *Please note that some International Banks will charge a 'international transaction' fee that is in no way associated to us.
WHEN WILL AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS BE DEDUCTED? Payments for subscription plans are always deducted on the 1st day of the month. If you subscribe to a 3 Month Prepaid Subscription plan, payments will be made quarterly - always on the 1st day of the month. If you subscribe to a 6 Month Prepaid Subscription plan, payments will be made twice a year - always on the 1st day of the month.Please make sure you have the balance available on the 1st of each month! If the payment doesn't go through you risk losing your spot.
CAN I CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION? You can cancel your subscription anytime by logging into your account and clicking on the "cancel" button next to your active subscription in the subscriptions tab. Subscriptions must be canceled before the 1th of the month in order to not receive the next month’s box. Refunds will not be given for renewed subscriptions after the 1th.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS CAN I USE? We accept all major credit and debit cards. We also accept PayPal.
DOES SHELFLOVE CRATE SHIP TO MY COUNTRY? Yes! We ship our Shelflove boxes worldwide. If this changes in the future, we will let you know.
HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST? Our 2018 shipping costs variate depending where you are from. *Our current shipping prices as are follows:
*Please note that shipping costs are subject to change. Sadly, USPS increases prices on a yearly basis, and therefore we do to.
WHEN ARE THE BOXES SHIPPED? Our boxes start shipping in batches . Boxes begin shipping between 20th-25th of the month unless announced otherwise. This does not mean boxes will start shipping on the 20th. It is just a shipping window for us to get the boxes out. Please allow up to 72 hours for updates on your tracking code. If you are on the last batch chances are that you will not see any updates on the 20th.
DO INTERNATIONAL BOXES SHIP FIRST? We usually try to ship international boxes at least 1 week ahead of time our regular ship date, however sometimes it is simply not possible. We do ship international boxes in the first batch.
CAN I HAVE MY BOX SHIPPED TO A P.O. BOX? Yes, you can. We have shipped boxes to P.O. Boxes in the past without encountering any problems. However, if there is a problem, please contact USPS/local carries to attempt to fix the problem.
CAN I HAVE MY BOX SHIPPED TO APO BOX OR MILITARY ADDRESS? Yes! We can. Domestic charges always apply to APO and military addresses.
IS THE SHIPPING TRACKED? We do offer tracking for domestic and some countries. USPS offers door-to-door tracking for the following countries:
*If your country is not part of the list above, tracking will be provided until your package leaves the United States. From there, it is up to you to contact your country's postal delivery service to determine the location of your package. Shelflove is not liable for any lost/stolen untracked packages once they leave the United States.
WILL I HAVE TO PAY CUSTOMS CHARGES? If you are ordering your Shelflove box to a country outside of the United States, it is possible that you may be subject to paying customs fees - however, this is not always the case. Unfortunately, all international packages can acquire custom fees regardless of what is inside the box. Some countries have a lower customs threshold than most. Such as Canada with a $20 (CAD), and the UK with 18£ (GBP) *Shelflove cannot and will not pay for any customs fees incurred on your purchase.
WHEN WILL MY BOX ARRIVE? Boxes within the USA 2-5 days to arrive. Shipping time for International boxes varries depending on the country you are located in. Usually takes from 10-21 days.
I ENTERED THE WRONG ADDRESS! CAN YOU SEND ME A NEW BOX? Unfortunately, no. Shelflove Crate cannot resend a new box if a shipping address was entered incorrectly, or not updated before time of shipping. You have until the 10th of the month to submit a corrected address.
WHAT IF MY BOX IS LOST IN THE MAIL? Please contact us, and we will work with USPS to retrieve your package. If a package is marked as “delivered” Shelflove is not liable for lost or stolen packages. *US packages: Please contact Shelflove if you have not received your package within 2 weeks. *International packages can take up to 3 months to arrive due to customs. Shelflove Crate is not liable for packages not received within this time frame. If your tracked package has not arrived after 3 months, please contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will work to supply a replacement box or refund. Untracked packages will not be replaced or refunded.
CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE THE BOX I RECEIVED? Unfortunately, we can’t offer any returns or exchanges on all shipped or purchases boxes. We recommend you try B/S/T Groups on Facebook where people buy and trade items and/or boxes.
ONE OF THE ITEMS IN MY BOX WAS MISSING? We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact support at email@example.com and we will ship out a replacement ASAP.
ONE OF THE ITEMS IN MY BOX ARRIVED DAMAGED, WHAT DO I DO? We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact support at firstname.lastname@example.org, with photographic proof of the damaged item, and we will ship out a replacement ASAP.
CAN I GET A REFUND WHEN I CANCEL MY PAID ORDER/SUBSCRIPTIONS? We are sorry, all orders are final. We will only refund orders within 48 hours of purchase. For refunds please email us at email@example.com. Cancellation does not mean you will automatically receive a refund. Unfortunately. the Cratejoy platform is not set that way.
I FORGOT TO SKIP AND MY SUBSCRIPTION HAS RENEWED. CAN I STILL SKIP THIS MONTH’S BOX? Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds past renewal date.
